At this year's GebäudeEffizienz Dialog 2011 building efficiency awards on 28.09.2011 in Frankfurt am Main, spega's e.control 2.0 was crowned best automation system and given the Building Efficiency Award 2011. In the eyes of the jury, the features which really made e.control stand out as an exemplary energy saving solution were:

  • e.control offers room automation as an exemplary means of saving energy.
  • As a room automation system, e.control has all the functions in terms of lighting, sunblinds and room climate control required for the construction and operation of sustainable buildings with optimum energy efficiency, flexibility and comfort levels.
  • LonMark functional blocks already feature more than 50 functions, covering the full scope of the requirements of VDI 3813, such that commissioning and maintenance can be carried out simply and clearly.
  • The entire functionality of e.control can be adjusted via a graphic configuration tool, with no specialised knowledge required.

A LON or BACnet server in the room automation system provides the interface to primary system controllers. e.control also features an OPC protocol for the building services control system.
  • e.control's quality and performance is backed up by a host of reference projects involving LEED or DGNB-certified buildings which use the system.
