With e.control, room automation and standard network technology are growing together. Data point information from the room automation system is exchanged throughout the building on a joint IP network, web services such as telephone operation or web browser access are offered to all users and access through other software systems such as BMS or ERP is made possible via open interfaces. For this, e.control supports all relevant protocols such as:

e.control LAN integration

Getting connected with IP telephone and browser

The e.control server dialog Web is also able to operate separate IP networks for tenants (LAN), in addition to the IP network of the building automation system (BA LAN). The data point access as well as the systemrelated commissioning is provided via the BA LAN, whereas the tenant integrates the device as a web server into his or her network via a separate port. User administration and configuration as well operation via web browser or IP-compatible telephones are also possible via this access point.

The horizontal cabling within the building floors / tenanted areas is provided by twisted pair cables by means of a LON/FT protocol (ISO/IEC 14908-2), which, in addition to the advantage it offers of a continuous protocol from the server to each actuator or sensor, is characterised by reliable transmission at a high bandwidth, and also supports cable routing in free topology. The operator is soon aware of the benefit of free wiring when converting spaces for a new use, as control devices or sensors need to be extended or re-located.

EnOcean

EnOcean

EnOcean is the batteryless radio standard in building technology. e.control offers a comprehensive range of control and sensor systems with EnOcean technology. The e.control EnOcean receivers are equipped with the same functional scope as the wired system devices, with the result that there are no losses in terms of energy efficiency or flexibility.

DALI

DALI

DALI has established itself as the standard for lighting control. In addition to the option of variable group allocation, it also offers the advantage of a fault acknowledgment signal in the event of a failure of one of the lights or ballasts. Furthermore, the e.control DALI multisensor facilitates the integration of occupancy sensing and constant light control in lights, without the need for routing additional cables. e.control DALI devices can control up to 64 lights in a maximum of 4, 8 or 16 groups.

SMI

SMI

SMI is the equivalent of DALI for controlling sunblind drives. Here, too, there is the option of a group formation and fault detection. At the same time, the drives can be positioned absolutely precisely, which makes them predestined for the energy efficient function of sun tracking control. The e.control SMI actuator, available in the 230V or 24V design, controls up to 16 drives with free group allocation.

MP-Bus

MP-Bus

MP-Bus controls actuators for ventilation or air-conditioning technology. Up to 8 actuators can be controlled over one bus. In addition to the actual position feedback signal, the fault status and, as an option, the measurement value of a connected sensor is received for each drive. The e.control MP-Bus controller integrates 8 drives and provides the LON network with the allocated sensor values.
