General Information

In the following sections we provide you with information about the collection of personal data when you visit our website.

The term “personal data», in reference to the definition in Art 1. No. 1 of EU regulation 2016/679 (hereafter “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”), means all data which could be used to identify you.  This includes, for example, your name, address, email addresses and user behaviour. With regard to the remaining concepts, in particular the terms “processing”, “controller”, “processor” and “consent”, please refer to the statutory definitions of data protection law given in Art 4. GDPR.

We process personal data in principle only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. The processing of personal data only takes place regularly if you have given your consent within the meaning of Art. 6, para. 1, a) GDPR or if processing is permitted under legal regulations, in particular under one of the legal grounds specified in Art. 6, para. 1, b) to f) GDPR.

Your personal data is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose for its storage ceases to apply. Your data may also be stored if this is stipulated by national or European regulations, with which we must comply. In this case, your data will be blocked or deleted upon expiry of the data retention period stipulated in the relevant regulations.  The latter does not apply if the subsequent storage of data is required for the purposes of concluding or fulfilling a contract.

If we rely on contracted service providers for individual functions of our website or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will provide you with the relevant, detailed information concerning this use below.

Your Rights

With regard to your personal data, you have the following rights:

You also have the right to make a complaint to a data protection supervisory authority about the way we have processed your personal data.

Processing of Personal Data Through Informational Use of Our Website

When you access our website without registering or providing us with information in another way (“informational use”), we only collect the personal data which your web browser transmits to our server. When you want to view our website, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for displaying our website and ensuring stability and security:

·         Data volume transferred

The data outlined above is stored in log files on our servers. This data is not stored alongside other personal data. The collection and temporary storage of your IP address is required to enable our website to be displayed on your device. Your IP address must be stored for the duration of your visit to our website. Storage in log files ensures the functionality and optimisation of our website as well as guaranteeing the security of our information technology systems. This data is not analysed for marketing purposes.

We have a legitimate interest in data processing for the above purposes. The legal basis for the collection and temporary storage of the above-mentioned data and log files is Art. 6, para. 1, sent. 1, f) GDPR.

The above data used to display our website is deleted when each session is ended. Collection of the above data used to display our website and the storage of this data in log files is essential for the operation of our website. There is therefore no legal possibility to object.

Processing Personal Data Using Cookies

Our website uses cookies. These are small text files stored on the storage medium of your device, e.g. on your hard drive, which send us certain information. Cookies cannot run programmes or transmit viruses to your device. This website uses the types of cookies listed below along with an explanation of their scope and operation.

Cookies which are stored relating to your web browser:

·         Transient cookies: These cookies are automatically deleted when you close your web browser. In particular, these include session cookies. These store a session ID, which assigns different web browser requests for the duration of a session. This enables your device to be recognised when you return to our website. Some functions of our website cannot be provided without the use of these cookies. In particular, some functions of our website require that your web browser can still be identified after moving from one page to another.  The data which is processed by cookies, and is necessary to provide the functions of our website, is not used to create user profiles. Additional Functions and Services of Our Website

As well as the informational use of our website described above, we also offer various services which you can use if desired. For these services, we generally require you to supply additional personal data. This data is necessary for us to provide the relevant service. The above principles for data processing are valid for this.

To some extent we rely on external providers, whom we have carefully selected and contracted, to process this data. These service providers are bound by our instructions and we carry out regular monitoring.  If personal data is transmitted to third parties as part of services which we perform in cooperation with our partners, you can find more detailed information in the descriptions of the individual services below. If these third parties are based in a country outside of the European Economic Area, you can find more detailed information relating to the consequences of this in the descriptions of the individual services below.

Contacting Us

If you contact us by email, the personal data transmitted to us via your email will be stored. In addition, we provide a contact form on our website which you can use to contact us. This means the data you submit via the entry form is transmitted to us and stored.

We also record your IP address and the time of submission. This data is used exclusively to answer your questions. If we do not use one of the third party providers named below to provide the contact function, your data will not be passed on to third parties.

The personal data above is only processed in order to carry out your requests. The processing of other personal data, which may occur through the use of the contact form on our website, is used to prevent misuse and guarantee the security of our information technology systems.

This is our legitimate interest in the processing of your personal data. If you have given your consent to this, the legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6 para. 1 a) GDPR. Otherwise, the legal basis for the processing of this data is Art. 6, para 1. f) GDPR, in particular in cases where data is transmitted to us by you via email. If your email is intended to lead to the conclusion of a contract, Art. 6, para. 1 b) GDPR constitutes an additional legal basis.

The data is deleted subject to legal retention periods, as soon as we have finalised your requests. When contacting us by email, you can object to the storage of your personal data at any time. Please note that if you do so, we will no longer be able to carry out your request. You can notify us of your withdrawal or objection by sending an email to the email address provided in our imprint.
